About the Phoenix Convention Center

Commodity Classic Events will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The 20th annual Commodity Classic will be held in the West and North Buildings at the Phoenix Convention Center located at 100 N. Third Street in downtown Phoenix. A multiphased $600 million expansion project has nearly tripled the size of the Phoenix Convention Center making it one of the top 20 convention venues in North America. The design of the new convention center aims to reference the unique Arizona landscape. Steel canopies extend over 3rd Street to create shade. The large glass and stone atrium in the West Building represents the unique angles of light of an Arizona canyon. Colors, textures and finishes capture the warm hues of the Sonoran Desert and the cool tones of the Arizona desert sky.

The Phoenix Convention Center has made artwork and the inspiration of native environments a critical component of its ongoing vision. Three themes are ever present in the architecture and art work: memory, contrast, and shelter. These themes are also woven throughout the diverse tapestry of artwork commissioned nationally and internationally for the Phoenix Convention Center and publicly displayed here for your viewing pleasure.
