The 2011 Commodity Classic surpassed all previous turnout records with a total of 4,826 attendees.
Farm families represented over half of the participants with 2,776 attendees, and first-time attendees saw an 80 percent increase over the previous year.
Attending Commodity Classic growers completing the demographic information with registration averaged:
• 2,338 total acres
• 1,074 corn acres
• 908 soybean acres
• 729 wheat acres
• 724 sorghum acres
• 390 cattle
• 82,096 poultry
• 7,603 hogs
• Average age 53.6
In addition, 125 of the nation's top media representatives participated in the 2011 Commodity Classic which includes a private media admission time to preview the latest technology and services before the Trade Show's Grand Opening.
The trade show has more than doubled in size since the first Commodity Classic was held in 1996 and exhibit space normally sells-out with with a wait list. In 2011, 222 companies were represented in 871 booths on a sold-out show floor.
The 2012 Commodity Classic Trade Show is already setting a new record for sound success as the LARGEST EVER by surpassing a previous 943 booth record high.
